Local towns offer a variety of specialty stores cafes, old fashion country pubs - drop in a see some local talent work by our Artists at DAS (Dungog Art Society.)- there is so much to do walk, swim, explore, wonder around our grounds and go swimming in our swimming hole or simply find a nook and read a book or even watch the moss grow.

Salisbury Lodges has been operating now for 23 yearsand is under going some changes- it has now come of an age where it was built to be a wilderness retreat - it has achieved this goal with its unique access to the World Heritage National Park and established grounds making it blend with its environments. It still continues to be hosted by its original owner builders, Joe and Phillippa. In the past it has won many awards including Hunter Regional Awards for excellence in Tourism, several finalist for Best Restaurant in its category and WINNER in 2009. We no longer compete but still offer the same standard and service
Araluen Restaurant has in the past won many awards and is still continuing to offer a high quality product- but it will not longer be open7 days- it will open on Saturdays and/or for more than 6 persons by arrangement- please do not hesitate to ask.
